Animals

The wellbeing of all animals depends on one common denominator. Habitat. Protected habitat.

The commercial hunt for seals off Canada's eastern shore killed over 300,000 seals last year, most pups under one year old. Please write to the prime minister of canada to protest this cruel hunt.

Support land-buying initiatives. Wildlife need wild spaces

Interest others in saving animals

Exotic animals should not be kept as pets. Help oputlaw the rampant trade in exotic animals - the suffering of birds, primates and infant wildlife is enormous.

Take action for animals. Volunteer at a local animal shelter or wildlife rehabilitation centre

Act to stop any new ivory trade. Don't buy jewellery, ornaments or pieces of artworkDonate bedding, food, even newspaper and cleaning supplies to an animal or wildlife shelter near you.

No pet should go homeless. Please educate others to spay or neuter their pets.

Create habitat in your own garden. Plant a tree or shrub.

Speak out for animals. Write to your government representative to support animal welfare legislation.

Recycling, conserving energy and buying non-toxic products are actions we can all take to help give animals, and all of us, safe land and clean water

Teach children that animals have feelings and should be treated with love and kindness.
